Hybrid: In person at Hydaburg and teleconference

The topics of consultation are Wildlife Special Actions requests WSA25-01, WSA25-02, and WSA25-03.  All three are centered around Federal subsistence deer hunting in Unit 2 for the 2025-26 regulatory year.  

WSA25-01 requests that the Board close Federal public lands in Unit 2 to deer hunting by non-federally qualified users for the 2025/2026 regulatory year.  

WSA25-02 requests that the Board eliminate the doe hunt in Unit 2 for the 2025/2026 regulatory year if the final rule establishing Ketchikan as a rural community publishes before the end of the Unit 2 deer season.  

WSA25-03 requests that the Board determine, which communities of federally qualified subsistence users should be permitted to harvest deer on Federal public lands in Unit 2 for the 2025/2026 regulatory year.
