About OLES

The Office of Law Enforcement and Security (OLES) serves as the Departmental focal point to provide program guidance and oversight of the Department’s law enforcement, security, intelligence, counterintelligence/insider threat, and information sharing programs. It is headed by a Director who reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary – Public Safety, Resource Protection, and Emergency Management.  The Director carries out the responsibilities of the office with the management support of Assistant Directors in the Law Enforcement, National Intelligence, Internal Security, National Security and Technology divisions.
