National Security

Invasive species threaten U.S. national security. They damage economic stability, food production, human, plant, and animal health, critical infrastructure, natural resources, and military readiness. 

The National Invasive Species Council has convened an interagency team of experts to coordinate actions that reduce invasive species risks to national security. The team is also developing a paper that illustrates how invasive species threaten U.S. national security.
