Resources

The U.S. Wildland Fire Service provides funding and resources for individuals, communities, tribes, and partners to improve wildfire prevention, response, and recovery across the country.

A man in a T-shirt, baseball hat, sunglasses, and protective gloves manipulates a nozzle in his hands while leaning forward for a closer look. He’s standing outside under a bright blue sky on an expanse of concrete where a large, yellow, metal stand is holding lengths of hose stretched between each end. To the side of his workspace, the corner of an industrial building is just visible. Behind it is tall roof over an open space.

Wildfire knows no boundaries. They burn across wide areas without regard for lines drawn on a map. To meet this growing challenge, federal agencies, tribes, states, local governments, nonprofits, and private landowners must all work together toward effective wildland fire management across landscapes.

The U.S. Wildland Fire Service shares information across the interagency wildland fire community, provides resources, and offers funding to help protect communities, conserve natural resources, and respond swiftly to wildfires.

By working together across boundaries and jurisdictions, we are protecting lives, conserving landscapes, and creating a safer, more fire-adapted future.
