Julie Ehrlichman is currently the Chief, Departmental Offices Finance Division and the Finance Officer for the Office of the Secretary.  She successfully manages a large team of Accountants and Financial Specialists responsible for providing accounting guidance, expertise, reporting, oversight functions, and the charge card program for the Office of the Secretary, and many other Offices within the Department of the Interior.

Ms. Ehrlichman has over 30+ years of professional accounting, treasury management, audit, financial operations and financial reporting expertise with the Federal Government. She has led several high-profile projects and implemented several new business processes that have resulted in cost savings, improved efficiency, and performance.

Ms. Ehrlichman has been employed by the Department of the Interior for 20+ years.  She has worked her way up through the ranks working for the National Business Center, and the Fish and Wildlife Service. Throughout her years with the Department of the Interior she has been instrumental in developing reconciliation tools, templates, and other products that were implemented Department-wide to improve data oversight and consistency between the Bureaus.

Ms. Ehrlichman played an important role on the Government-Wide Team that led to the decision to move the Statement of Financing, from a Statement to a footnote disclosure in the Annual Report.

Prior to working for the Department of the Interior, Ms. Ehrlichman spent 10 years working for the Defense Contract Audit Agency.  She worked her way up from an Auditor Trainee to Senior Auditor, auditing several large Defense Contractor’s including: Honeywell, Alliant Tech Systems. Lockheed Martin, and Ball Aerospace.
