James Roberts

Acting Chief Administrative Judge

Judge Roberts has been with the Board for over 31 years.  He began his career with the Board in 1985 as an Attorney-Advisor; was appointed the Board's Docket Attorney in 1990; was appointed Administrative Judge in 2000; and was appointed Deputy Chief Administrative Judge in 2016.  He graduated from Berea College in Kentucky in 1974 with a B.A. in Art and English; from Louisiana State University in 1976 with an M.A. in English; from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1980 with a J.D.; and from Columbia University Law School in 1985 with an LL.M. in International Law.
