Interior, USDA Forest Service Expand Mental Health Support for Federal Wildland Firefighters and Dispatchers

Today, the Department of the Interior and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service announced federal wildland firefighters and dispatchers now have access to expanded mental health support through a network of licensed providers. As mandated by Congress, the new therapy service is designed to address the unique needs of those in emergency management positions.

Secretary Burgum Applauds Presidential Action to Protect Hydropower in the Columbia River Basin

Today, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum applauded the revocation of the Biden administration’s “Restoring Healthy and Abundant Salmon, Steelhead, and Other Native Fish Populations in the Columbia River Basin” presidential memorandum. This action issued by President Donald J. Trump, protects the power generation of four hydroelectric dams on the Snake River within the Columbia River Basin.
