Eileen Jones

Chief Administrative Judge

Eileen Jones was appointed Chief Administrative Judge of the Interior Board of Land Appeals in 2014.  She has spent her Federal career serving in administrative appeals offices. 

Judge Jones is the former Chief of the National Appeals Office, NOAA Fisheries; Supervisory Appeals Officer, USDA National Appeals Division, and; Staff Attorney with HHS the Departmental Appeals Board, Medicare Operations Division. 

Prior to joining the Federal government, Judge Jones was a judicial law clerk and civil law practitioner, then an Assistant Professor of Law while earning her PhD from Tulane University in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.  She also holds a BA and MA degree.  Judge Jones earned her JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law where she served as Research Editor for the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal.
