Appraisal and Valuation Services Office Manual

This chapter establishes procedures for non-Federal payment for valuation services, including appraisals, which support land tenure actions by bureaus and offices within the Department. Payment for valuation services by non-Federal parties is authorized by both Secretarial Order and the Departmental Manual (DM) with limitations.1 The purpose of this chapter is to establish consistent processes for non ­Federal party payment for valuation services across the Department to strengthen oversight of valuation services
