Administrative Support

The Administrative Support functional area is the ballast supporting AVSO with its day-to-day administrative needs to keep our offices running smoothly throughout the country. In addition to its inherent role in all other functional areas within the Operations Division (Budget and Finance Management, Communications and Information, Facilities and Property Management, Human Resources Support, and Information Technology Services), this functional area carries out the following:

  • Administrative policy development: developing instructional memorandums, official forms, and templates for use organization-wide
  • DOI Transit Subsidy Program for AVSO
  • Official travel and transportation support for all AVSO staff
  • Training and professional development support for all AVSO staff
  • Conference and meeting coordination and logistical support
  • Special events project management
  • Safety, emergency, security, and access controls
