Winner of 2023-24 Federal Subsistence Student Art Contest Announced

May 2, 2024

The Federal Subsistence Board selected sixteen-year-old Emma Friendly of Tuntutuliak as the winner of the 2023-24 Student Art Contest in the wildlife category. Emma’s artwork will serve as the cover art for the 2024-2026 Federal Subsistence Management Harvest of Wildlife Regulations book, to be distributed statewide. Students in grades K-12 from all over Alaska submitted 124 art entries. The Federal Subsistence Management Program will use submitted artwork for brochures, flyers, website, and other mediums.
