February Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Council meetings postponed

Due to the lapse in funding for the Federal government budget, the seven Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Council meetings scheduled for the month of February 2019 are postponed.

These include the following meetings:

  • Southeast Alaska (Wrangell, February 4-6, 2019)
  • Bristol Bay (Naknek, February 12-13, 20109)
  • North Slope (Utqiaġvik, February 13-14, 2019)
  • Western Interior (Fairbanks, February 20-21, 2019)
  • Kodiak/Aleutians (Kodiak, February 21-22, 2019)
  • Northwest Arctic (Kotzebue, February 26-28, 2019)
  • Southcentral Alaska (Anchorage, February 26-27, 2019)

If the lapse in funding continues to Thursday, February 14, the remaining three meetings of the Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils scheduled for March 2019 will also be postponed.

The meetings will be rescheduled once the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service - Alaska Regional Office is open. Updates will be posted to the Federal Subsistence Management Program website at https://www.doi.gov/subsistence/regions.
