Small Business Intelligence Tool

The Small Business Intelligence Tool provides self-service business intelligence to small and socio-economically disadvantaged businesses to gain a better understanding of what DOI purchases, view DOI spending trends over time, and access detailed contract information on expiring contracts. Small and socio-economically disadvantaged businesses may use this tool to target DOI contract opportunities that match the firm’s capabilities.

How to use the Small Business Intelligence Tool:

To use the tool the small and socio-economically disadvantaged business may input up to 5 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. NAICS codes are the standard used by Federal agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. economy. Once NAICS code are entered the tool will return total DOI spending by year, a graphical breakdown of DOI Bureau spending, and the number of contracts in the NAICS codes entered. Users may further filter results to specific states. Users have access to a separate tab that returns detailed contract data for the NAICS code and or States selected.

Users can view the dollar value of the types of goods and services DOI procures and identify trends in spending to determine if the users capabilities match DOI contract spend categories. The Small Business Intelligence Tool can be accessed here.
