Bulletin: Public hearing for Taku River Federal subsistence salmon fishery

JUNEAU, Alaska – The Juneau District Ranger, under authority granted by the Federal Subsistence Board, will hold a public hearing June 9, 2026, to share information and solicit feedback to guide the Federal subsistence salmon fishery on the Taku River. The in-season manager intends to issue a temporary special action to adjust the season length, harvest limits, and gear types authorized in the fishery to meet the terms of the Pacific Salmon Treaty.
