Southern Plains Indian Museum to reopen March 1, 2022

ANADARKO, OKLAHOMA: The Southern Plains Indian Museum, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Indian Arts and Crafts Board, will reopen to the public on March 1, 2022. 

The Museum will be open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Admission to the Museum is free. 

These hours are subject to change and visitors should call (405) 247- 6221 for the most up to date information. 

In order to maintain the safety of visitors and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic, the following policies are in place:

  • The Museum will operate at reduced capacity to ensure the safety of visitors and staff. 
  • Masks are required for all visitors.  Masks will be provided at no cost.
  • Social distancing policies will be in effect.
  • Visitors are requested to sanitize their hands when entering the facility.  Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the facility.
  • High touch areas in the facility will be disinfected throughout the day and the facility will be thoroughly disinfected each evening.
