Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to meet in Kotzebue at the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center

The Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council fall meeting, postponed in October, has been rescheduled for January 7-8, 2026 at the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center in Kotzebue. The meeting will begin at 09:00 a.m. (AKST) daily.

The Council will focus on time-sensitive action items such as developing recommendations on federal wildlife proposals and closure reviews, providing comments on the Secretary review of the Federal Subsistence Management Program, and developing their fiscal year 2025 Annual Report. Less critical agenda items originally scheduled for the fall 2025 meeting may be moved to the winter 2026 agenda.
