245th Anniversary of the Battle of Cowpens

January 17, 2026.  245th Anniversary, Battle of Cowpens. This annual event commemorates Brigadier General Daniel Morgan's significant patriot victory over Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton's British forces on January 17, 1781. The event includes a wreath laying ceremony in coordination with NSSAR and NSDAR, historic weapons demonstrations, cavalry demonstrations, author presentations, ranger-led battlefield walks, children's activities, lantern tours, and living history encampment.
