Memo (2025): Waiver of Biweekly Limitations on Premium Pay – Support for Texas Floods

A major disaster declaration was approved by President Donald J. Trump, beginning on July 2, 2025, and continuing, due to the severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding. Department employees are authorized a waiver of the biweekly limitations on premium pay and are authorized an increase to the calendar year (CY) 2025 pay limitations, as defined by the provisions of 5 U.S.C. §5547, if they perform work in direct response, recovery, and emergency management for this event.
