The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management team put their best foot forward during Energy Ocean 2014, an industry event that promotes the development of clean, predictable and sustainable energy from the world's oceans.
Drawing hundreds of stakeholders from the offshore renewable industry, the event included a conference and exhibition covering issues and opportunities facing each discipline of the industry: wind, wave and tidal.

At the event, Mary Boatman from BOEM's Offshore Renewable Energy Program chaired the "Protecting our Resources for the Future: Environmental Considerations in Ocean Energy Innovation" session; Joan Barminski, from BOEM's Pacific office, presented her poster titled "Marine Renewable Energy on the West Coast and Hawaii: A BOEM Perspective"; and Science Advisor to BOEM Deputy Director Bob Labelle presented on "Policy Updates and New Initiatives from Washington." BOEM also gives a special shoutout to Jessica Stromberg and Amy Stillings, who manned BOEM's exhibit.
Great job team!
