Memo (2025): Waiver of Biweekly Limitations on Premium Pay – Adobe Town Herd Management Area Horse Gather

The Bureau of Land Management will conduct a wild horse gather operation in the Adobe Town Herd Management Area to restore healthy levels of wild horses and maintain healthy public rangelands. The gather will be conducted from July 14 to August 23, 2025, to manage population growth and to ensure the range is not overgrazed or damaged and to maintain a natural, thriving ecological balance. Given that Department of the Interior (Department) employees will provide support for this event, Department employees are authorized a waiver of the biweekly limitations on premium pay and are authorized an increase to the calendar year (CY) 2025 pay limitations, as defined by the provisions of 5 U.S.C. §5547, if they perform work in direct response for the planning, operations, and support of this event.
