This chapter sets forth the policy and guidance to execute the Department's responsibilities under the National Response Plan (NRP). The NRP establishes a single comprehensive framework for the coordination of Federal support to State, local, and tribal governments and for exercising direct Federal authorities and responsibilities during domestic incidents.
