Richard Westmark has 17 years of experience managing information technology, including network security and infrastructure management. Mr. Westmark joined the Department of Interior OCIO in June 2016 as the Compliance and Audit Management (CAM) Branch Chief within Planning and Performance Management Division.  

From 2010 to 2016 he served as the IT Director, Information Security Officer and IT Audit Liaison for the Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Washington, DC. Keynote in his tenure was resolving information technology material weakness, liaison with office of Inspector General, advising Treasury on Federal Shared Services, completing financial management benchmarks, and leading several critical acquisitions to ensure financial management system continuity. 

From 1999 to 2010 he worked at Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in Pensacola, Florida and serve in several progressive positions including Infrastructure Management Director, Deputy Director for Infrastructure Engineering, and Vulnerability Assessment Team Lead. Keynote in his tenure was infrastructure portfolio investment management, commodity IT benchmarking, architecture-assessment & roadmap, general support systems and networks re-engineering, smartcard network logon, systems logon quarantine and inspection, and an effective computer-network-defense and cyber-resilience program.

Prior to becoming a federal employee in 1999, he served as a federal government IT contractor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Science from the University of West Florida and the following professional credentials; PMP, CISSP, CISA, Sr.FAC-P/PM-IT_III.
