Interior Department, Outdoor Manufacturer Thule Partner to Give Youth, Veterans Opportunities to Work on Public Lands

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Interior today welcomed a $100,000 donation from outdoor manufacturer, Thule, in support of the 21st Century Conservation Service Corps (21CSC), an ongoing national effort to engage the next generation of outdoor stewards by training and employing thousands of America’s young people and veterans to protect, restore, and enhance our nation’s public lands and waters. 

Interior Department Transfers Additional $4 Million to Cobell Education Scholarship Fund

To date, the Buy-Back Program has paid more than $730 million to individual landowners and restored the equivalent of nearly 1.5 million acres of land to tribal governments.
