Emergency Management Policy Bulletin 2026-01: National Incident Management System Training Requirements

The Department of the Interior (DOI) is required by 6 U.S.C §753(a)(2), Homeland Security Presidential Directive 5, and 900 DM 1 to use and comply with the National Incident Management System (NIMS), which includes the National Incident Management System
Training Program. This policy provides minimum incident management training requirements for Bureau and Office personnel who may become involved in or be responsible for incident response or special event management activities.
