This MOA was entered into for the purpose of formalizing the Federal subsistence wildlife management partnership between the Department and AITRC. The Board heard public testimony and addressed Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, Section 805 requirements for establishment of local advisory committees, and rulemaking requirements associated with implementation of the MOA. The Board requested input from the two affected Regional Advisory Councils during the upcoming meeting cycle before taking further action.
