PPA Peer Review Agenda

Peer review is a fundamental practice to ensure PPA's influential analyses are of the highest quality for decision-makers.

The Office of Policy Analysis (PPA) supports policymakers with policy, economic, and program analysis to help advance the  mission of the Department of the Interior. To support the highest quality work, PPA ensures that independent peer review is carried out for the influential products we release.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued the directive Final Information Quality Bulletin for Peer Review on December 16, 2004. Among other topics, it requires that there be a "systematic process of peer review planning" and access to a list of information products for official dissemination that will be peer reviewed as either influential scientific information or highly influential scientific assessments. For those information products for official dissemination that will be peer reviewed as influential scientific information or highly influential scientific assessments (as defined in the OMB directive), PPA provides the following agenda of current OMB peer review plan entries.
