The Office manages departmental planning and performance reporting in compliance with the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010 (GPRA), and the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-11: Preparation, Submission, and Execution of the Budget.  These integrated plans describe goals and strategies across the Department and include performance measures to track and demonstrate progress on achieving Administration priorities and Departmental goals.

The Office provides leadership and consulting services, including technical guidance and assistance, to the Office of the Secretary and the bureaus and offices of the Department in developing the Department’s strategic plans, annual performance plans, and annual performance reports.

Additionally, the Office is responsible for ensuring the Department’s planning and performance reporting documents comply with the GPRA statutory requirements (Public Law 103-62).  These include Strategic Plans and Annual Performance Plans and Reports.
