5 Quick Wins Highlight Progress

We learned in the many IT Transformation listening sessions and from feedback we've received from employees that improvements can be made to IT service offerings and policies to improve your job performance and satisfaction. You've told us that you want to be able to work from anywhere and from any device while still maintaining the security of your information. You also want access to cutting-edge devices and services and prompt help desk support. One of your top requests continues to be a consistent, reliable email experience. Additionally, you want to collaborate with external partners in a secure, easy-to-share environment.

We have made it our priority to meet these needs beginning with the following five Quick Wins:
·Collaborative IT Supportpiloting a solution for enabling local IT support to provide services to local employees from other bureaus;
· Interim Unified Messaging Solutionmoving DOI employees to one interim email system;
·Mobile Device Managementfocusing on supporting employee use of mobile devices, such as tablets;
·Telework IT Policy and Pilotallowing the use of non-Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for work purposes and a pilot for testing IT products and services for use on non-GFE; and
· External SharePoint Migration moves external SharePoint sites to a newer, more reliable version to increase collaboration between internal and external partners
