Subject: Veterans Day Celebration – November 6, 2014


The Department of the Interior will celebrate our nation's veterans with a cake reception and information tables provided by several veteran and other organizations committed to providing services to veterans. The event is at the Bison Bistro from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.


All employees are invited to enjoy some cake, meet fellow employees who are veterans, learn about a variety of veteran services and honor those that served in our military. Exhibitors include The Student Veterans of America, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, U.S. Army Wounded Warrior Program, Veterans Administration Benefits Assistance Service, The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, The American Legion and others.


Additionally, the National Park Service is leading two walking tours of our nation's war memorials on November 5, 2014. The one-hour tours will depart from the World War II Memorial ranger station promptly at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is not required, but please arrive a few minutes prior to tour start time.
