Wildland Fire Information and Technology (WFIT) uses information and technology in support of the business mission of the interagency wildland fire program.  Wildland Fire Information and Technology provides information and technology services and functions independent of a user's specific agency or location, in a manner that provides flexibility and adaptability for the people who use it in the field.

The Wildland Fire Information and Technology governance is comprised of several chartered boards including the Executive Board, Fire Management Board, and the Program Board.
