A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. New River Gorge National River in West Virginia encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.
Seward Peninsula Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Nome
The Seward Peninsula Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet March 20-21, 2013 at the Aurora Inn in Nome. The meeting will begin daily at 8:30 a.m.
The Council will develop proposals to change Federal subsistence hunting and trapping regulations and discuss other issues related to subsistence in the Seward Peninsula Region.
