A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. New River Gorge National River in West Virginia encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.
North Slope Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Barrow
The North Slope Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet February 26-27, 2013 at the Inupiat Heritage Center in Barrow. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The Council will develop proposals to change Federal subsistence hunting and trapping regulations and discuss other issues related to subsistence in the North Slope Region.
