A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. New River Gorge National River in West Virginia encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.
Western Interior Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Aniak
The Western Interior Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet February 25-26, 2014 at the Aniak Community Hall in Aniak. The meeting will begin daily at 9:00 a.m.
The Council will develop proposals to change Federal subsistence regulations for the harvest of fish and shellfish and discuss other issues related to subsistence in the Western Interior Region.
