A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. New River Gorge National River in West Virginia encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.
Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Kotzebue
The Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet February 18-19 at the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly Chambers in Kotzebue. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on February 18 and 9:00 a.m. on February 19.
The Council will develop proposals to change Federal subsistence regulations for the harvest of fish and shellfish and discuss other issues related to subsistence in the Northwest Arctic Region.
