MIAMI, FLORIDA - On October 22 at the Miami City Hall, Deputy Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett will present the city of Miami and Mayor Manny Diaz with a Preserve America Designation signed by Laura Bush, First Lady of the United States and Honorary Chair of Preserve America.
Scarlett is co-chair of Preserve America along with John Nau III, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. Preserve America is a White House initiative that supports the efforts of communities and state and tribal preservation offices to preserve their resources through heritage tourism, education and historic preservation planning.
