Department of the Interior leadership supports state-led regional ocean partnerships (ROPs), as well as Federal-state-tribal marine planning partnerships called regional planning bodies (RPBs). Five geographic regions now have operational RPBs: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Caribbean, the Pacific Islands and the West Coast.
