Individual Indian Money (IIM) account holders may have their funds provided electronically through automatic transfers to a personal debit card account at J.P. Morgan/Chase Bank, even if they do not have an account at any other financial institution. Other options to receive your funds include direct deposit and check. (If you do have an account at a financial institution already, you should consider direct deposit first.)
Electronic transfer to a U.S. Debit Card account is fast, convenient, and safe. There is no risk of checks being misplaced, stolen, or lost in the mail. There is no cost to enroll for the service and the funds are immediately available to the account holder. Use your U.S. Debit Card to make payments or purchases wherever MasterCard® is accepted.
By the end of September 2011, more than 5,900 IIM account holders had signed up for the U.S. Debit Card.
