Larry Ruffin is the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Chief Information Security Officer, charged with carrying out the DOI Chief Information Officer’s Information Assurance (IA) program responsibilities in delivering an IT Security and Privacy Program for implementation by senior agency officials in accordance with Federal laws, policies, standards, guidelines and best practices. Mr. Ruffin also serves as the Director of the Information Assurance Division within the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Mr. Ruffin joined DOI in 2005 after previous federal service at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, United States Trustee Program and Naval Research Laboratory. Mr. Ruffin also served six years with the U.S. Navy.
