WASHINGTON, D.C.—On Thursday, May 5th, 2011 Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will join members of the National Museum of the American Latino (NMAL) Commission and bipartisan Members of Congress to celebrate the submission of the Commission's Final Report to Congress and the President.
Authored by 23 members of the Congressionally-established Commission, the report provides the findings and recommendations for the potential creation of a National Museum of the American Latino in Washington, D.C. Submitted months ahead of schedule, the comprehensive report also reflects the input generated from eight public forums held across country to engage communities in this important study.
