Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne to Attend "Listening Session" in Fairbanks, Alaska, Hold Media Availability

WASHINGTON – Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne will attend a cooperative conservation “listening session” in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Monday, Aug 28, 2006. The session will take place at the Carlson Center at 2010 Second Avenue, starting at 10 a.m.

Kempthorne will hold a media availability at 9:30 a.m.

The "listening session" is one in a series of public meetings across the country to solicit and exchange ideas on incentives, partnership programs, and regulations that can improve results and promote cooperative conservation and environmental partnerships. In addition to Interior and EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Commerce Department and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are sponsoring the sessions.
