Deputy Interior Secretary Lynn Scarlett to Attend "Listening Session" in Muncie, Indiana

WASHINGTON – Deputy Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett, will attend a cooperative conservation “listening session” in Muncie, Indiana, on Saturday, August 26, 2006. The session will take place in the Horizon Convention Center Exhibition Hall, starting at 10 a.m.

Scarlett will hold a news media availability at 9:30 a.m.

The “listening session” is one in a series of public meetings across the country to solicit and exchange ideas on incentives, partnership programs, and regulations that can improve results and promote cooperative conservation and environmental partnerships. In addition to Interior and EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Commerce Department and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are sponsoring the sessions.
