DOINews: Southwest Climate Science Center Convenes Its First Stakeholder Meeting
The Pacific Southwest Area recently completed an extensive outreach effort to notify leaders from Federal, State, and Tribal governments about opportunities for representation on the Stakeholder Advisory Committee for the Southwest Climate Science Center. Letters to government and agency executives from throughout the Southwest were accompanied by a November 22 WebEx briefing led by Acting Area Regional Executive, Steve Schwarzbach, and Interim SWCSC director, Dave Busch, where prospective representatives discussed the anticipated Climate Science Center advisory process. These activities are being undertaken in preparation for the initial Advisory Committee meeting, which will take place on December 13 in Sacramento. (The minutes for the Stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting on 12/13/2011 can be seen here.)
