DOINews: Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick proposes Co-Location of State Climatologist at NE CSC

Governor Patrick recently proposed a plan for the Energy and Environmental Affairs office to partner with UMass Amherst's Northeast Climate Science Center in appointing a state climatologist to help state agencies and municipalities better understand climate impacts. It was announced alongside news of $50 million in new climate initiatives for the state of Massachusetts, however, the plan remains subject to the legislative approval of funding for transportation vulnerability assessments and public health initiatives.
