A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. DOINews: Dr. Jeremy Littell Joins the Alaska Climate Science Center as Research Lead
Beginning August 27, Dr. Jeremy Littell will join the DOI/USGS Alaska Climate Science Center (AK CSC) as an applied climate scientist and research lead for the Center. Dr. Littell is an expert in ecological climatology, analysis of historical climate data, and the use of climate projections in natural resource management. He comes to the AK CSC from the University of Washington's Climate Impacts Group, where his research included studies of climate-fire interactions across western North America, and the use of tree rings to reconstruct climates of the past 1,000+ years.
