FieldCom IDIQ Overview

FieldCom consists of three Functional Categories. Each category is a different IDIQ contract with different North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes and size standards. Each category has a unique Small Business size standard, but all NAICS codes within each category have the same size standard. Some Contractors may have been awarded contracts in more than one Functional Category and may have separate contracts for each of those categories.

The following is a summary of each Functional Category. 

Functional Category 1

Products: P25 radio infrastructure and user devices, aviation radios, marine radios, microwave radios, FirstNet network devices, communications enclosures, and commercial satellite voice and data field communications.

Functional Category 2

Services: Provides a system life cycle approach to service with planning, design, implementation, operations and maintenance, and decommissioning.

There are two tracks within FC 2:

  1. Small Business Track and
  2. Unrestricted Track

Functional Category 3

Design-Build: A method to deliver a field communications system in which the planning, design, and implementation/installation services and any associated products, software, or hardware in the design are provided by a single contractor. Operations and maintenance and decommissioning services may also be included.
