Service Retirement System

- What you need to know about the special retirement system if you are a
firefighter or law enforcement official seeking coverage under the Federal
Employees Retirement System

Personnel
- What you need to know if you are responsible for processing special
retirement actions for other employees
Although
designed to meet the needs of these groups, any Interior employee is invited to
review any or all sections of this training.
For
those of you that must know all aspects, you can complete the entire course and
receive a certificate!
There
are three ways to access the course:

If
you already have a SkillSoft license, this course is available in your
SkillSoft training plan under DOIU Custom Curriculum.
Please refer back to your registration confirmation page provided upon
completion of online registration or just log in to the DOIU Learning
Management System (LMS) at http://www.doiu2.nbc.gov/doiulms/,
select and log into SkillSoft, click DOI Custom Curriculum, and then click the course title to get started.

If
you do not have a SkillSoft license, you may register online for access to
the entire SkillSoft library of over 500 courses, including this course.
The costs (around $28.50 for access to all courses for one year) and
procedures vary by bureau. You

you already have a NETg but not a SkillSoft license and would like to register for this course,
log in to
the DOIU Learning Management System at http://www.doiu2.nbc.gov/doiulms/
using your NETg user name and password. Select the option to register for

you have not previously used our online courses and wish to take the Firefighter and Law Enforcement Special Retirement
course, free of charge, you can register at

and verify information provided then
select to "Submit
Training Choice."
