Orville Lind, Native Liaison, Office of Subsistence Management

The Federal Subsistence Board recognizes that indigenous Tribes of Alaska are spiritually, physically, culturally, and historically connected to the land, the wildlife, and the waters.  The customary and traditional way of life has sustained the health, life, safety, and cultures of Alaska Native peoples since time immemorial. To effectively manage the Federal Subsistence Program, the Board collaborates and partners with Federally recognized Tribes in Alaska to protect and provide opportunities for continued subsistence uses on public lands.  The session will go over policy and opportunities for tribal engagement with the Federal Subsistence Management Program.
