Federal Subsistence Board to Consider Proposals to Change Subsistence 
Hunting and Trapping Regulations

 The Federal Subsistence Board will meet on April 15, 2014 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and April 16 – 17, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to consider more than 50 proposed changes to Federal subsistence hunting and trapping regulations. The Board will provide the opportunity for Tribal and ANCSA Corporation leaders to consult on the proposed changes to subsistence hunting and trapping regulations on April 15, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

In addition, the Board will discuss the Rural Determination review process and will receive a summary of public comments received following the Federal Register Notice (12/31/2012) requesting comments on rural determination. The Board will hear Regional Advisory Council recommendations and may deliberate on possible options and alternatives for recommendation to the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture on the Rural Determination process.
