National Response Framework

Issued in January of 2008, the National Response Framework (NRF) became the guide to how the Nation conducts all-hazards response. The NRF incorporates important lessons learned from past response activities, and taking into account stakeholder critique of past plans. The NRF, along with the Emergency Support Function Annexes and Support Annexes, is the guide to how the Federal Government responds to major disasters and emergencies, outlining the capabilities and identifying the resources available to respond.
