In August 2005, the Departent
of the Interior completed work with GovWorks
Federal Acquisition Center to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite
Quantity (IDIQ) contract that provides access to four pre-qualified
vendors for writing, editing,
publication design and layout, and marketing and advertising services.
The IDIQ is available to any Federal agency, including all bureaus
and offices of the Department of the Interior, but users must
be clients of GovWorks.
The contract encompasses
writing projects targeted for the general public as the primary
audience as well as specific technical audiences (OMB, the Congress,
law enforcement specialists, personnel specialists, etc.). The
type of projects may range from corporate-style, informational
reports and publications designed to educate and engage citizens
regarding Interior’s programs and policies as well as agency financial
accountability and performance reports, strategic planning papers,
human capital management and workforce planning-related reports,
security and law enforcement policies and procedures, budget documents,
and various other department-, bureau- and office-level publications
requiring professional level writing and editing skills.
The IDIQ is available for a period of five years (until September
2010) or until its threshold value has been reached.
